Morning Session
When college recruiters look for athleticism and speed, they
head to South Florida, so it should come as no surprise that
the talent level at the recent National Underclassmen
Combine stop at Spanish River High School in Boca Raton was
exceptional.
Standing out above the rest in the morning session was
sophomore RB Deandre Johnson of Monsignor Pace High School.
He showed great feet, hands, and skills during the 1-on-1's,
which continuously left him practically uncovered. At
5-foot-7 ½ and 195-pounds, Johnson finished with a 29-inch
vertical, 9'4" broad, 4.56 40, 4.46 shuttle, and 26 reps on
155-pounds Deandre Johnson with Coach Schuman
Taking home two awards was sophomore Todd Chandler of Miami
Northwestern. Aside from winning the DL MVP he also was
named the Strongest Man at the morning session with 22 reps
on 185-pounds. Chandler, 6-foot-1 and 291-pounds, was strong
as an ox during individual drills and 1-on-1's, but was also
athletic, with amazing hands and an explosive first step. To
go along with his impressive bench results, he also had a
21-inch vertical, 4.90 shuttle, and 5.19 40. Todd Chandler with Coach Schuman
Although only 5-foot-5 ½ and 136-pounds, the most dynamic
wide receiver of the morning session was sophomore Kerrick
Pollock of Miami Carol City. He ran excellent routes during
the 1-on-1's and showed great hands throughout the morning.
During the combine events he had a 30-inch vertical, 8'11 ½"
broad, 4.61 shuttle, and 4.55 40. Another receiver who
impressed was sophomore Maximylian Decaryalho of Spanish
River High School. At 6-foot-4 and 181-pounds, Decaryalho,
showed excellent explosiveness and hands throughout the
morning, and also had a 32-inch vertical, 8'9" broad, 4.80
40, and 4.62 shuttle. Kerrick Pollock
Maximylian Decaryalho
Also winning an award for Carol City was sophomore RB Gaveef
Glashen, who took home the Fastest Man Award with a 4.48 40.
Showing that he wasn't only about speed, Glashen, 5-foot-9 ½
and 169-pounds, was also very impressive during individual
drills and 1-on-1's, and finished off the combine events
with a 27.5-inch vertical, 4.43 shuttle, 8'7 ½" broad, and
22 reps on 155-pounds. Gaveef Glashen Jeff Scott
Winning the RB MVP during the morning session was sophomore
Jeff D. Scott of Archbishop Carroll. Although currently a
little undersized 5-foot-7 and 158-pounds, he is still a
great player, with impressive hands, feet, and quickness. He
also shined during the combine events with a 32-inch
vertical, 9'0" broad, 4.33 40, 4.28 shuttle, and 17 reps on
155-pounds. Also impressing at running back was sophomore
Daniel Monroe of Coral Reef High School. Monroe, 5-foot-10
and 172-pounds, was spectacular during 1-on-1's with great
moves and hands, plus he also had a 27-inch vertical and
4.70 40. Daniel Monroe
The DB MVP went to sophomore Lamarcus Joyner of Southwest
High School in Miami, who is more of a true safety at this
time. Joyner, 5-foot-8 and 168-pounds, was explosive, fast,
and showed great feet during his bump n' run coverage. He
was also impressive during the combine events with a 32-inch
vertical, 9'10" broad, 4.53 40, and 19 reps on 155-pounds. Lamarcus Joyner

Winning two awards was sophomore Marshyl Rothman of Jupiter
Christian, who took home both the QB MVP and the Leadership

footwork during passing drills and impressive overall
technique throughout the morning. During the combine events
he had a 25-inch vertical, 4.36 shuttle, and 4.79 40. Marshyl Rothman
Taking home the Freshman MVP was QB Jamarious Rowley of
Glades Central. Rowley, 5-foot-8 and 179-pounds, throws a
fantastic fade ball and has great pocket presence for a
freshman. He also had a 25.5-inch vertical and 4.60 shuttle. Jamarious Rowley
Finally, winning the Combine King Award for sophomores was
RB Schon Kendal Thomas of Bishop Verot High School. Thomas,
5-foot-9 and 168-pounds, was actually the top combine
performer of both events with a 31.5-inch vertical, 9'6 ½"
broad, 4.55 40, 4.44 shuttle, and 19 reps on 155-pounds. Schon Kendal ThomasAfternoon
Session
After a very impressive morning session at Spanish River
High School in Boca Raton, the afternoon session of the
National Underclassmen Combine also did not disappoint.
Leading the way in the afternoon session was Overall MVP
sophomore WR Ted Meline of Westlake Prep, who has the
potential to become one of the top prospects from the
Sunshine State next year. Ted Meline with Coach Schuman
Meline, 6-foot-1 ½ and 165-pounds, showed a fantastic
combination of hands, route running, jumping ability and
overall ball skills, to dominate both the individual drills
and 1-on-1's. He also didn't disappoint during the combine
events with a 32.5-inch vertical, 4.38 40, 4.53 shuttle, and
9'3" broad.
The OL MVP and Strongest Man Award went to sophomore Jose
Jose of Booker T. Washington High School in Miami. Measuring
in at 6-foot-2 and 355-pounds, showed amazing feet and hands
for a player of his size, and completely dominated during
individual drills and 1-on-1's. The huge lineman also ran a
5.53 40, 5.20 shuttle, and had 20 reps on 185-pounds to win
the Strongest Man Award. Jose Jose
Also winning two awards was sophomore QB Chris Rapka of
Cardinal Gibbons High School. Aside from winning the QB MVP,
Rapka also took home the Leadership Award for his
performance during the 1-on-1 drills. But not only was Rapka
a leader during the 1-on-1's, he also showed great footwork,
a very good delivery, and deadly accuracy. At 6-foot-2 ½ and
188-pounds, Rapka also had a 24-inch vertical, 5.06 40, and
4.74 shuttle. Chris Rapka
While Meline won the Overall MVP, another receiver who
impressed was WR MVP sophomore Michaele Harris of Miami
Northwestern. Harris, 6-foot-0 and 167-pounds, showed that
he was the complete package during individual drills and
1-on-1's, with his speed, route running, and numerous circus
catches. During the combine events he had a 30-inch
vertical, 4.59 40, 4.74 shuttle, and 9'4" broad. Also
deserving of a special mention at the wide receiver position
was sophomore Jordan Inoa. At 6-foot-1 1/2 and 169-pounds,
Inoa showed great strength and route running ability
throughout the afternoon. During the combine events he
finished with a 28 inch vertical, 4.71 40, 4.61 shuttle, and
9 reps on 155-pounds. Michael Lee Harris
Jordan Inoa
The wide receiver talent also did not end with the
sophomores, as the Freshman MVP went to Tacoi Sumler of
Homestead High School. Sumler, 5-foot-8 and 148-pounds, set
a National Underclassman Combine freshman record with a 4.33
40, plus he had a 33-inch vertical, 9'8" broad, 4.50
shuttle, and 10 reps on 135-pounds. Aside from his amazing
combine performance, Sumler also showed great speed on his
routes and very good hands throughout the afternoon session. Tacoi Sumler

from a very deep and talented defensive backs group,
Marshall, 5-foot-8 and 155-pounds, showed excellent footwork
and ball skills during both the individual drills and
1-on-1's. He also excelled during the combine events with a
4.41 40, 4.45 shuttle, 8'11" broad, 29.5-inch vertical, and
12 reps on 155-pounds. Khalid Marshall
Another Miami defensive back who impressed was sophomore
Richard Leonard of Killian High School. Leonard, 5-foot-7 ½
and 155-pounds, showed great feet and ball skills, plus he
had a 29-inch vertical, 4.45 40, 4.27 shuttle, 8'7 ½" broad
and 15 reps on 155-pounds. Richard Leonard
Miami Northwestern won yet another award, with the Fastest
Man trophy going to sophomore RB Corrin Lamb. Lamb, 5-foot-8
½ and 180-pounds, ran the second fastest time in National
Underclassmen Combine history with a 4.31. He also had a
4.51 shuttle, 15 reps on 155-pounds, and was excellent
during drills. Corrin Lamb
The DL MVP went to freshman Marques Bayas of Everglades High
School. Bayas, 5-foot-10 ½ and 171-pounds, definitely isn't
a true defensive lineman because of his size, but that
didn't stop him from dominating 1-on-1's. With a probable
move to linebacker in his future, Bayas had a 4.63 shuttle,
4.97 40, and 18 reps on 135-pounds. Marques Bayas
David Lozandier, 5-foot-10 and 170-pounds, took home the LB
MVP for North Miami Senior High School. The sophomore is a
great athlete with great cover skills, and he shined during
the combine events with a 31.5-inch vertical, 9'7" broad,
4.49 40, 4.41 shuttle, and 18 reps on 155-pounds. David Lozandier
With numerous impressive combine performances, finding a
winner for the Sophomore Combine King wasn't an easy task,
but taking home the award was WR Jerome Thomas of West Boca
High School. Thomas, 6-foot-0 and 171-pounds, had a
32.5-inch vertical, 9'7" broad, 4.53 40, 4.51 shuttle, and
14 reps on 155-pounds. Aside from his combine performance,
Thomas was also tremendous during 1-on-1's, and was
especially difficult to cover during his deep routes. Jerome Thomas
Finally, the running back position also had several dynamic
prospects, but the MVP went to sophomore Spencer Boyd of
Cape Coral High School. Boyd, 5-foot-10 and 159-pounds, was
great during 1-on-1's and the individual drills, plus he
possesses fantastic feet and change of direction abilities.

broad, 4.52 40, 4.71 shuttle, and 14 reps on 155-pounds. A
freshman running back who definitely impressed was Ryan
Janvion of Dade Christian High School. Janvion, 5-foot-9 and
146-pounds, showed great 1-on-1 skills and impressive feet
throughout the afternoon. He also had a 31.5-inch vertical,
4.91 40, 9'4" broad, 4.42 shuttle, and 14 reps on
