Coach: Frank Hepler

Notes: Coach Hepler came to West Forsyth in 2007 to start up the Wolverine Football program. Prior to that he was head coach at Plantation High School in Florida for 15 years. In that time he took Plantation to 12 straight FHSAA Playoffs and compiled a (135-30) record. Even though West Forsyth is considered a newer football program they have never had a losing record and have made the GHSA playoffs the last two years. The Wolverines are primed for another good season with 15 starters back from last year's squad.

Players to Watch: Mohamed Camara, LB, 6-2, 190 (South Carolina Commit); AJ Erdely*, QB, 6-3, 205 (MTSU Commit).

Gainesville Red Elephants (0-0) AAAAA Region 8

Coach: Bruce Miller

Notes: Coach Miller enters his 11th season at the helm of the Red Elephants. He has compiled a (106-21) record in that time along with seven region championships. He comes into this season with four consecutive 10+ win seasons. In 2009 Gainesville, GA played in the 3A State Championship Game. The Red Elephants are led by junior signal caller DeShaun Watson who accounted for 4,307 yards of offense and 57 touchdowns last season.

Players to Watch: Caleb Hayman, WR, 6-1, 190 (South Alabama Commit); Fred Pyne, S, 5-11, 185 (Western Carolina Commit); DeShaun Watson, QB, 6-3, 190 (2014) (Clemson Commit).

Others to Watch: Mike Byrd, RB (2015); Louis Cousins, S (2015); Keontray Harrison, WR; Devin Springer, LB (2014).

Notable Alumni: AJ Johnson (Sophomore), LB, Tennessee (Second leading tackler for Volunteers in 2011 as true freshman); TJ Jones (Junior), WR, Notre Dame (Has caught 61 passes in his first two seasons).
