NUC FBS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
WEEK 3
How does one become the NUC FBS Player of the Week? First of all the player has to have attended at least one NUC sponsored event. Secondly the player has to help lead his team to victory over another FBS opponent. This week two individuals helped their school snap long losing streaks with their performance. Both players helped non-BCS schools beat BCS football teams.
Offensive Player of the Week
Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M
Manziel completed 20 of 36 passes for 294 yards and four scores. He also carried the ball 12 times for 124 yards and two scores in 48 to 3 win over SMU. He looked like a magician with the ball in his hands throughout the game not bad for a redshirt freshman. Though considered undersized as a major DI signal caller he made Swiss cheese of the Mustang defense.
Defensive Player of the Week
Joel Hasley, DB, TCU
This sophomore linebacker had eight solo tackles, four assisted tackles, and two sacks this past week. His effort helped the Horned Frogs beat Kansas 20 to 6. The defense helped TCU overcome four lost fumbles while holding the Jayhawks to just 77 yards rushing on 26 carries.

Collin Klein, QB, Kansas State
Klein completed 15 of 20 passes for 230 yards and two scores while also rushing for 85 yards and a touchdown in 35 to 21 win over North Texas.
Aaron Murray, QB, Georgia
Murray completed 14 of 19 passes for 342 yards and two scores while also rushing for two scores in 56 to 20 win over Florida Atlantic.
Quayshawn Neely, LB, Georgia Tech
Neely recorded six solo tackles, three assisted tackles, and had a pick in 56 to 20 dismantling of Virginia.
