NJCAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
The National Underclassmen would like to recognize some of the top Junior College performers from this this past week. We are looking for players whose team participates in the NJCAA. Their performance needs to aid their respective school in victory to be considered for this weekly award. Just remember if your goal of playing FBS or FCS football is derailed junior college football may be the avenue to get it back on track. All former NUC participants have an asterisk by their name.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Tyrik Rollison, QB, Tyler Junior College, TX- Rollinson completed 30 of 55 passes for 503 yards and five scores in 65 to 59 win over Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in double overtime. He also rushed for one score. He has now completed 103 of 173 passes for 1,496 yards with 12 touchdowns and only one pick in five games.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Damarious Randall, DB, Mesa Community College, AZ- Randall was in on six tackles, two PBU's, and had three picks in 43 to 0 win over Pima Community College. He also returned a punt 52 yards for a score. On the season he has 23 tackles, six picks, five PBU's, and one fumble recovery. He has also returned six punts for 220 yards (36.7 avg.) and one touchdown.
OTHER GREAT PERFORAMNCES IN A WINNING EFFORT
Arizona Western College, AZ
D'Vante Henry, LB- He was in on 12 tackles, one TFL, and one forced fumble in 20 to 6 win over Eastern Arizona.
Anthony Olobia, DL- Olobia was in on nine tackles, three TFL's, and two sacks in 20 to 6 win over Eastern Arizona.
Central Lakes College-Brainerd, MN
Jordan Bialke, LB- This tackling machine was in on 19 stops and three TFL's in 21 to 20 win over Minnesota West Community & Technical College.
Copiah-Lincoln Community College, MS
Chandler Rogers*- Rogers completed 30 of 47 passes for 318 yards and three scores in 33 to 29 win over Jones County Junior College.
Dean College, MA
Lance Burlingame, DL- Burlingame was in on six tackles, five TFL's, and three sacks in 36 to 22 win over Louisburg College.
Trevor Vasey, QB- Vasey completed 16 of 26 passes for 386 yards and five scores in victory over Louisburg College.
East Mississippi Community College, MS
Rodriquez Moore, RB- Moore only carried the ball 11 times but managed 119 yards and three scores in 48 to 17 win over Coahoma Community College.
Ellsworth Community College, IA
Jordan Doyle, QB- Doyle completed 11 of 20 passes for 178 yards and two scores. He also carried the ball 19 times for 150 yards and three scores in 49 to 42 win over College of DuPage.
Trey Gilbert*, RB- Gilbert carried the ball 24 times for 227 yards and one score in win over College of DuPage.
Iowa Western Community College, IA
Deon Long*, WR- Long is one pass catching machine. He snagged 13 passes for 239 yards and two scores in 55 to 35 win over Georgia Military College. He is definitely a candidate for NUC NJCAA Player of the Year.
Kilgore College, TX
Jamal Jones, DB- Jones was in on four tackles, two INT's, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one PBU in win over Cisco College.
Charles Woods, LB- Woods was in on 16 tackles, two TFL's, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one PBU in 29 to 14 win over Cisco College.
Navarro College, TX
Traylon Shead, RB- Shead carried the ball 21 times for 185 yards and two scores in 21 to 10 win over Trinity Valley Community College.
North Dakota State College of Science, ND
Mykar Groves, LB- Groves recorded 13 tackles, two TFL's, and one INT in 45 to 6 win over Dakota College at Bottineau.
Rochester Community & Technical College, MN
Reginald Webb, DL- Webb was in on five tackles four of which were sacks in 40 to 0 win over Minnesota State Community & Technical College
Snow College, UT
Christian Stewart, QB- Stewart completed 20 of 33 passes for 452 yards and five scores in 52 to 14 beat down of Scottsdale Community College.
