WEEK 8

NUC High School Rankings Week 8

For the first week this year no one in the NUC High School Top25 fell out of the rankings. Why? Because everyone that played this past week won their game. The closest contest was Narbonne, CA coming from behind to beat Carson, CA 26 to 20. We did however have two teams that were just outside the NUC High School Top25 fall. The Gateway (PA) Gators fell to North Alleghany, PA while Archbishop Moeller, OH lost to Cincinnati Elder, OH.

This week there are four great matchups on paper. #3 ranked Santa Margarita (6-0) who will be without QB Johnny Stanton take on Mater Dei, CA (5-1). Bellevue, WA (6-0) ranked #1 in the state of Washington for 3A will travel and take on the #2 team in 3A Mount Si, WA (6-0). The Greyhounds of Carmel, IN (8-0) will host rival Ben Davis, IN (7-1). Possibly the most interesting matchup this Friday will be Tucker, GA (5-0) versus Stephenson, GA (4-0). This game will boast nearly 20 DI prospects.

The NUC Player of the Week goes to signal caller Travis Wright of #1 ranked Trinity, KY. Wright threw for five touchdowns in 55 to 27 win over DuPont Manual, KY.
