NUC HITS THE ROAD

Archer vs. Central Gwinnett

When: October 12, 2012, 7:30 p.m.
Where: Talley Johnson Field, Lawrenceville, Georgia
Last Season Records: Archer (5-6) Central Gwinnett (4-6)
Last Meeting: 10/14/2011 Archer 48 Central Gwinnett 41

Archer Tigers (4-2/2-2) AAAAAA Region 8

Coach: Andy Dyer

Notes: Andy Dyer is the first and only coach the school has ever had. The Tigers began playing a varsity schedule in 2010. In that time they have gone (12-18). This is the third meeting between the two schools and the winner will hold bragging rights in the series. The strength of the ArcherTigers is in their defensive unit as they have not surrendered more than 21 points in any of the five games they have this season.  Their two losses were to Brookwood, GA and Parkview, GA by a combined two points.

Players to Watch: Trey Cheek, DB, 5-10, 175 (Cal Commit); Antonio Riles, DL, 6-4/260 (Florida Commit)

Others to Watch: Ernest Alexander, RB, 5-9/195 (One offer); Deondre Singleton, DB, 6-0/180 (Two offers)

Central Gwinnett (3-2/1-2) AAAAAA Region 8

Coach: Todd Wofford

Notes: Coach Todd Wofford took over the helm of the Black Knights in 2010 and has accumulated a (11-14) record. That may not seem great but Central Gwinnett, GA had gone (5-15) in the previous two seasons before Wofford arrived. The Black Knights must get refocused after taking a beating at the hands of Grayson, GA last week. The loser of this game is surely knocked out of the playoff picture.

Players to Watch: Trey Johnson, LB, 6-2/220 (Auburn Commit); Jonathan Hawkins, RB, 5-10/200 (2015) (Already has three offers)

Others to watch: Justin Brownlee, WR, 5-11/180; Jourdin Shiloh, RB, 5-8/185; Eman Westmoreland, QB/ATH, 5-10/190.

Notable Alumni: Kaycee Ike (Starting OL UAB); Ted Roof (Former HC of Duke Football and current DC at Penn State)
