NJCAA PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

The National Underclassmen would like to recognize some of the top Junior College performers from this this past week. We are looking for players whose team participates in the NJCAA. Their performance needs to aid their respective school in victory to be considered for this weekly award. Just remember if your goal of playing FBS or FCS football is derailed junior college football may be the avenue to get it back on track. All former NUC participants have an asterisk by their name.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

 Ouslet Volcy, WR, ASA College, NY- Volcy snagged eight passes for 250 yards and four touchdowns in 69 to 14 win over Dean College. Volcy has only played in four of the six Avenger's games but has still managed 17 catches for 443 yards and eight touchdowns. This former Miami Northwestern receiver is averaging 26.1 yards per catch.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Corry O'Meally, DB, Ellsworth Community College, IA- O'Meally was in on three tackles, one PBU, and had three interceptions in 33 to 0 win over Dakota College of Bottineau. This North Miami Beach product has been in on 25 tackles, one TFL, four INT's, and six PBU's in five games this season.

 

OTHER GREAT PERFORAMNCES IN A WINNING EFFORT

 

Butler Community College, KS

Marcus Dillard, DB- Dillard was in on 11 tackles, one TFL, one INT, and had two PBU's in 84 to 13 victory over Garden City Community College.

Dreamius Smith, RB- Smith carried the ball 13 times for 193 yards and three scores in 84 to 13 win over Garden City Community College.

 

Central Lakes College-Brainerd, MN

Matt Mogree, DB- Mogree was in on two tackles, and had two picks both of which were returned for scores in 53 to 7 win over Vermilion Community College.

 

Coffeyville Community College, KS

Laron Mitchell, LB- Mitchell was in on 14 stops and had two TFL's in 7 to 3 win over Highland Community College.

Martrell Spaight, LB- Spaight was in on 17 tackles and one TFL in 7 to 3 win over Highland Community College.

 

Copiah-Lincoln Community College, MS

Jerrell Jordan, DE- Jordan was in on ten tackles, one sack, one fumble recovery, one INT, and one PBU in 17 to 0 win over Itawamba Community College.

 

East Mississippi Community College, MS

Quez Johnson, QB- Johnson completed 25 of 53 passes for 354 yards and three touchdowns in 35 to 0 win over Holmes Community College.

Ellsworth Community College, IA

DaShawn Cason, LB- Cason was in on nine tackles, five TFL's, one fumble recovery, and two PBU's in 33 to 0 win over Dakota College at Bottineau.

 

Fort Scott Community College, KS

Owen Jordan, QB- Jordan Completed 19 of 33 passes for 351 yards and four scores in 54 to 17 win over Independence Community College.

 

Hutchinson Community College, KS

Luke Barnes*, QB- Barnes completed 21 of 28 passes for 380 yards and six scores in 66 to 7 win over Air Force Prep.

Terrell Lane, RB- Lane carried the ball 22 times for 184 yards and three scores in win over Air Force Prep.

Jatavius Stewart, WR- Stewart caught six passes for 144 yards and three scores in win over Air Force Prep.

Iowa Western Community College, IA

Jake Waters, QB- Waters completed 15 of 16 passes for 252 yards and four touchdowns in 81 to 14 win over Arkansas Baptist College.

 

Jones County Community College, MS

Marion Chapman, LB- Chapman recorded 11 tackles, one fumble recovery, and one INT in 46 to 21 win over East Central Community College.

 

Lackawanna College, PA

DeShavon Hayes, RB- Hayes carried the ball 12 times for 149 yards and three scores while also catching a touchdown pass in 50 to 6 win over Erie Community College.

Drayton Wilson, LB- Wilson was in on 11 stops, three TFL's, and one INT in win over Erie Community College.

Mesa Community College, AZ

Kevin Gill, DB- Gill made 13 stops, one INT, and one PBU in 20 to 7 win over Scottsdale Community College.

 

Minnesota West Community & Technical College, MN

Matt Shively, LB- He was in on 13 tackles and four sacks in 37 to 0 win over Minnesota State Community & Technical College.

Enoch Smith, RB- Smith only had eight carries but he went for 144 yards and two scores in win over Minnesota State Community & Technical College.

Nassau Community College, NY

David White, RB- White ran for 176 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries in 47 to 0 win over Hudson Valley Community College.

Navarro College, TX

Stump Godfrey, QB- Godfrey completed 17 of 31 passes for 260 yards and four touchdowns while also running for 69 yards in 52 to 35 win over Tyler Junior College.

 

Rochester Community & Technical College, MN

Nick Albano, LB- He was in on 16 tackles and one TFL in 47 to 15 win over Ridgewater College.

Jake Kirch, ATH- Kirch ran the ball 12 times for 172 yards and three scores while also completing 4 of 8 passes for 51 yards in win.

Snow College, UT

Breon Allen*, RB- Allen carried the ball 23 times for 152 yards and two scores while making three catches for 37 yards and a score in 45 to 14 win over Pima Community College.

Southwest Mississippi Community College, MS

Quadarias Mireles, RB- Mireles ran for 86 yards and two scores while also catching seven passes for 46 yards and a score in 38 to 14 win over Hinds Community College.
