Position: WR Height: 6’3  Weight: 200lbs  Hometown: Long Beach, California High School: Lakewood HS  GPA: 3.3

Strengths:  Darius Powe is a big time talented WR who has the size, skills and game breaking ability to make something happen every time he touches the football. He first has the size at 6'3 200lbs to play much bigger than his opponents, and use his size to his advantage when the ball comes his way. Darius goes to the highest point to catch the football, and come down with the pass. His hands are like glue. He has the concentration and hand size to come down with just about any pass thrown his way. Darius has solid speed that allows him to create separation in his routes, and continue his path down the field. His long and lanky frame makes it seem like he is just gliding down the field when he runs. With all those traits, Darius Powe has the full abilities to be a game changer, and make something happen when the time calls for it. He has big play ability written all over him, and he is someone you can look for to make that big catch.

Improvements: Darius has all the abilities you look for in a number one receiver in college, but he does need to work on a few things before he makes his way to the next level. His overall speed is solid, but he could do some work on his long speed. Sometimes he gets slowed up when running a long way, but with more conditioning he could certainly improve that greatly. Darius is a big receiver with great size, but sometimes he lets defenders out physical him on the line of scrimmage. He could use more time in the weight room to gain more muscle and make sure no one can out physical him in college. While running through his routes, sometimes Darius has sloppy footwork, and it hampers him from running the crisp routes that he needs to. Time on the practice field will only help in this area, and Darius is a hard worker who believes in practicing your craft, so I am sure he will get this fixed.
