Class of 2013 Leadership MVP |
Celina HS, TX 6'5" - 250lbs - OL/DL |
| Jake has won almost every award imaginable in the NUC system. He is a 3 time Leadership Award Winner, 1 time Overall MVP, 1 time Dodie Donnell Award Winner, Top Prospect OL MVP (as a Rising Soph), and several OL MVP's at the U100 and Regional NUC Events. His performance at the Top Prospect Camp was hindered by slight injury to his shoulder, but before that happened he was on track with another fantastic OL and DL performance. He has fantastic size and athletic ability and has a great ability to get into his kick slide and set off the ball and extend the arms. He has excellent body leverage and gets very low for a guy his size. On the defensive side of the ball he have a very good get off and is able to use his longer arms to a distinct advantage. He currently has 16 offers from every major program in the country and when it is all said and done he will be one of the most celebrated athletes in the NUC program and will have over 30 offers. A special player and a even more special leader, who keeps everyone going, which is why he won the award despite being injured in the event. As a player he has all the tools to be a great one and must work on several areas to make himself truly a great player. He must continue to work on not over extended during his pass set and also continue to stay balanced at all times. His superior aggression on the offensive and defensive side of the ball will continue to be an asset as long as he controls his body. He will certainly be a top five lineman in the class of 2013. |
