Desean Smith

Class of 2013

#2 Ranking at TE at Top Prospect Elite

Alfred Barbe HS, LA

6'5" - 219 lbs

Desean was in the hunt for the TE MVP award but had to miss day 2 because of a college visit, but was still so impressive in day 1 that he ended up with the # 2 ranking. He already has offers from LSU and other from his previous outstanding performance at the NUC U100 Camp Southwest and NUC Baton Rouge. He is a gigantic receiving target with exceptional speed getting in and out of is breaks. Despite being 220 lbs he still runs routes like a WR. I believe he will be one of the top five TE’s for the class of 2013. He will end up with over 20 offers before it is all said and done. Great body control, great hands and great route running is his signature as TE. Physicality off the line and the ability to play in space are two secondary attributes that make him unique. Finally, superior ball skills and playmaking ability round out one of the most complete Tight Ends in the class of 2013
