2011 Midwest Post Season Regional All-American Team

The National Underclassmen Combine is proud to introduce the first annual postseason Midwest Regional All-American Team. Below are those athletes that have caught the eye of NUC President Dave Schuman and Director of National Player Analysis Barry Every. We have selected seniors that have already achieved great things on the gridiron and are considered elite college prospects at their respective positions.

 

2011 Offensive Skill Player of the Year- Dorial Green Beckham, WR, Hillcrest, MO

"Green-Beckham lived up to the hype snagging 119 passes for 2,226 yards and 24 scores by using his size and superior athleticism."-Barry Every

2011 Offensive Line Player of the Year- Kyle Kalis, OL, St. Edward, OH

"Kalis is one of the more versatile offensive linemen in the country having the toughness and size to play four of the five O-Line positions at the next level."-Barry Every

2011 Defensive Skill Player of the Year- Vince Biegel, Lincoln, WI

"No one has a better nose for the ball than this heat seeking missile as he recorded 172 tackles and 21 sacks on the season."-Barry Every

2011 Defensive Line Player of the Year- Adolphus Washington, DL, Taft, OH

"Washington proved to be one of the best pass rushing specialists in the country recording more than 23 sacks on the season."-Barry Every

 
Offense First Team (*Denotes NUC Participant)
QB Maty Mauk, Kenton, OH This Offense/Defense All-American selection passed for over 5,400 yards and 68 touchdowns on the season.
RB Drake Johnson, Pioneer, MI Johnson ran for over 2,900 yards and 38 touchdowns on the season.
RB Morgan Steward, Staley, MO* Steward ran for 2,226 yards and 27 touchdowns on the way to leading his team to the MSHSAA Class 5 State Championship.
WR Dorial Green-Beckham, Hillcrest, MO This U.S. Army All-American selection caught passes for over 2,200 yards and 24 touchdowns on the season.
WR Durron Neal, DeSmet Jesuit, MO This U.S. Army All-American selection scored 30 touchdowns playing both receiver and running back.
TE Blake Thomas, St. Ignatius, OH Thomas led his team to the OHSAA Division I Championship; Ohio's largest classification.
OL Jordan Diamond, Simeon, IL* This Semper Fidelis All-American selection led his team to a (10-3) record on the season.
OL Kyle Kalis, St. Edward, OH This U.S. Army All-American selection is one of the most versatile linemen in the country.
OL Evan Boehm, Lee's Summit West, MO This Under Armour All-American selection led his team to a (12-2) record.
OL Nick Davidson, Eden Prairie, MN Davidson led his team to the MSHSL AAAAA State Championship.
OL Kyle Dodson, Cleveland Heights, OH This U.S. Army All-American selection led his team to a (9-1) record.
 
Defense First Team (*Denotes NUC Participant)

DL Tommy Schutt, Glenbard West, IL

This U.S. Army All-American selection led his team to a (10-1) record by limiting opponents to six points per game.
DL Adolphus Washington, Taft, OH This U.S. Army All-American recorded 90 tackles and 23.5 sacks on the season.
DL Se'Von Pittman, McKinley, OH This Offense/Defense All-American selection recorded 73 tackles, 16 TFLs, and six sacks.
DL Greg McMullen, Archbishop Hoban This Semper Fidelis All-American selection recorded 65 tackles and 12.5 sacks on the season.
LB James Ross, St. Mary's Prep, MI* This U.S. Army All-American selection recorded over 150 tackles while leading his team to the MHSAA Division 3 State Championship.
LB Vince Biegel, Lincoln, WI This U.S. army All-American selection recorded over 170 tackles and 21 sacks on the season.
LB Antonio Morrison, Bolingbrook, IL This Semper Fidelis All-American selection led his team to the IHSA Class 8A State Championship.
DB Terry Richardson, Cass Tech, MI This Under Armour All-American selection recorded 55 tackles, seven PBUs, and one pick for MHSAA DI State Champions.
DB De'Van Bogard, Glenville, OH Bogard recorded 91 tackles, seven PBUs and two picks on the season.
DB Bam Bradley, Trotwood-Madison, OH This Semper Fidelis All-American selection led his team to an undefeated season and won the OHSAA DII State Title.
DB Jarrod Wilson, Buchtel, OH Wilson was selected to the Offense/Defense All-American game.
ATH David Perkins, Washington, IN* Perkins accounted for over 1,300 yards of offense and 15 touchdowns.
 
Offense Second Team (*Denotes NUC Participant)
QB Tyler Matthews, McPherson, KS* This U.S. Army All-American selection completed 164 of 260 passes for 2,847 yards with a 24 to 5 touchdown to interception ratio.  
RB Anthony Wales, Louisville Central Wales ran for over 2,700 yards and 40 touchdowns on the season.
RB Dennis Norfleet, ML King, MI Norfleet ran for over 2,000 yards and 27 touchdowns on the season.
WR Gehrig Dieter, Washington, IN* This Semper Fidelis All-American selection caught 82 passes for 2,181 yards and 24 scores.
WR Andre McDonald, Hopkins, OH This Semper Fidelis All-American caught 60 passes for 1,253 yards and 17 touchdowns on the season.
TE Devin Funchess, Harrison, MI Funchess caught 21 passes for 452 yards and five scores for (10-1) team.
OL Ryan Ward, Providence Catholic, IL Ward was selected to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
OL Dan Voltz, Barrington, IL Voltz was selected for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
OL Jason Spriggs, Concord Community, IN* This two-way star led his team to a (9-3) record.
OL Ben Braden, Rockford, MI Braden led his team to a (11-2) record this past season.
OL Jacoby Boren, Pickerington Central, OH Boren led his team to a (11-3) record and the OHSAA DI Finals.
 
Defense Second Team (*Denotes NUC Participant)
DL Jaleel Johnson, Montini Catholic, IL* This Offense/Defensive All-American selection led his team to the IHSA 5A Title.
DL Ondre Pipkins, Park Hill, MO* This U.S. Army All-American selection missed half the season but is still one of the most dominate two-way linemen in the country.
DL Danny O'Brien, Powers Catholic, MI* O'Brien led his team to the MHSAA Division 5 State Championship.
DL Chris Wormley, Whitmer, OH Wormley recorded 85 tackles and 13 sacks on the season.
LB Royce Jenkins-Stone, Cass Tech, MI This U.S. Army All-American selection helped his team to the MHSAA DI State Championship by limiting opponents to less than 10 points per game.
LB Nick Mangieri, Dunlap, IL* Mangieri recorded over 100 tackles on the season.
LB Donavin Newsome, Parkway North, MO This Offense/Defense All-American selection recorded 91 tackles, five sacks, and two picks on the season.
DB Anthony Standifer, Crete-Monee, IL This Semper Fidelis All-American selection led his team to a (10-1) record.
DB Allen Grant, Southview, OH This two-way star has 31 catches and 57 tackles on the season.
DB Jermaine Edmondson, McKinley, OH Edmondson was selected to the Offense/Defense All-American game.
DB John Turner, Cathedral, IN Turner led his team to the IHSAA 4A State Championship.
ATH, Josh Perry, Olentangy, OH This Offense/Defense All-American selection accounted for 20 offensive touchdowns.
 
Offense Honorable Mention
QB Gunner Kiel, Columbus East, IN This U.S. Army All-American selection led his team to a (12-2) record with 2,523 yards passing and 28 touchdowns.
RB Warren Ball, St. Francis DeSales, OH This Offense/Defense All-American selection ran for over 1,200 and 29 touchdowns on the season.
RB Dieonte Buckley, Warren Central, IN Buckley ran for over 1,600 yards and 27 scores while catching 14 passes for 169 yards on the season.
WR Dwayne Stanford, II, Taft, OH This U.S. Army All-American selection caught 32 passes for 720 yards and nine scores.
WR Aaron Burbridge, Harrison, MI Burbridge caught 32 passes for 753 yards and six scores on the season.
TE Josiah Price, Eastern, IN Price snagged more than 35 passes for over 500 yards and five touchdowns on the season.
OL Jake Meador, Whiteland, IN* Meador was selected to the Offense/ Defense All-American game.
OL Jonah Pirsig, Blue Earth Area, MN Pirsig was selected to the Offense/Defense All-American game.
OL Isaac Hayes, St. Thomas Academy, MN Hayes led his team to a (9-1) record helping outscore their opponents 415 to 92.
OL Benny McGowan, Centerville, OH McGowan helped his team average 39.2 points per game on the season.
OL Wes Rogers, Warren Central, IN Rogers helped pave the way for 271 yards rushing per contest.
 
Defense Honorable Mention
DL Tom Strobel, Mentor, OH Strobel recorded 59 tackles and 11 sacks while leading his team to a (11-2) record.
DL Ifeadi Odenigbo, Centerville, OH Odenigbo was selected to the Under Armour All-American game.
DL Sheldon Day, Warren Central, IN This Semper Fidelis All-American selection recorded 67 tackles and nine sacks on the season.
DL Thomas Chapman, DuPont Manual, KY This Offense/Defense All-American selection led his team to a (9-3) record.
LB Michael Rose, Rockhurst, MO* This Under Armour All-American selection led his team to a (10-2) record.
LB Joe Bolden, Colerain, OH Bolden recorded 80 tackles, three sacks, and one pick on the season for (10-2) team.
LB Ike Spearman, Lake Central, IN* Spearman recorded 68 tackles, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries on the season.
DB Danny Larkins, Madison, MI Larkins recorded 10 picks on the season.
DB Darnell Walker, Bolivar, MO Walker recorded nine picks on the season.
DB Tyvis Powell, Bedford, OH This Two-way star recorded 31 tackles, two picks, and three offensive touchdowns on the season.
DB Sebastian Smith, Pickerington Central Central, IN Smith led his team to the OHSAA State Championship game.
ATH Tavarius Bender, Lincoln Southwest, NE* Bender passed for 906 yards, ran for 564 yards while accounting for 16 touchdowns. He also averaged 41 yards per punt and had 17 touchbacks as a kicker.
