"At safety I am free to roam around the field and make plays" Johnson said. "My strengths as a safety are my aggressiveness and my ball skills". Some of Johnson's favorite safeties to watch are Troy Polamalu and in college Tyrann Mathieu, Mark Barron, and Ray-Ray Armstrong.
Asked about recruiting he said, "It's going good right now. I have five offers: Wake Forest, East Carolina, Illinois, Toledo, and Youngstown State".
Other schools have been showing interest such as BC, Virginia, Oklahoma, Alabama, Ohio State, Tennessee, UCF, and Arizona. Arizona is close to offering according to Johnson.
Over the summer Johnson plans to attend a bunch of camps. He listed Virginia Tech, Bowling Green, Ohio State, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, Notre Dame, and Illinois as some schools he wants to camp at.
"Right now I'm enjoying the process and do not have any favorites" Johnson said. The Calvert Hall athlete plans to take all five of his official visits and intends on deciding on Signing Day. When asked what his factors are on picking a school he said, "Big program with good academics and warm weather".
Off the football field Johnson loves to eat every kind of food and his favorite TV show is Martin.
