NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell was named 2012 Sports Executive of the Year at the Sports Business Awards held tonight in New York City.
Other winners include Major League Baseball as League of the Year and Bridgestone as Sponsor of the Year.
Almost 750 attended the event at the Marriott Marquis at Times Square. In addition to the awards presented tonight, former NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to the industry.

-- Best in Sports Television: Fox Sports
-- Lifetime Achievement Award: Paul Tagliabue
-- Athletic Director of the Year: Mark Hollis, Michigan State University
-- Best in Property Consulting, Sales and Client Services: IMG
-- Best in Sports Technology: ESPN’s WatchESPN
-- Sports Team of the Year: Boston Bruins
-- Best in Digital Sports Media: ESPN Digital Media
-- Best in Sports Event and Experiential Marketing: Major League Baseball/Fan Cave
