Rochester, NY 8th/9th Grade NUC Schuman's
Outstanding Performance List
|
|
Nick Gallo
Schalmont HS, NY, LB, 5-9, 158, 9th Grade Overall MVP, LB MVP, Combine King
|
Yeah! A hat trick of awards goes to Mr. Gallo. He put up
some solid numbers with a 4.4 shuttle, 8-8 BJ, and 28.5-inch vertical. Gallo
also benched 135-pounds 22 times. But it was his dominance on the field of
play that earned him two of his awards. Very physical at the point of attack
with excellent sideline to sideline speed.

Neville Gallimore
St. Patrick's HS, ONT, DL, 6-2, 237, DL
MVP
|
You have to love it when our brother's to the north come
to an NUC event and dominate. Gallimore put up sick numbers with a 4.9 40,
4.76 shuttle, 28.5-inch vertical, and he benched 155-pounds 17 times. He is
raw but explosive and very talented!
We salute you Neville Gallimore!!!!

Quinton Soares
Garneau, ONT, WR, 5-10-1/2, 174, Co-WR MVP
|
Soares used his size and strength to create space off the
line of scrimmage. Who says receivers don't lift weights? Soares put
135-pounds up 27 times he also had a nifty 4.5 shuttle. He proved to be a
consistent route runner with solid hands.
|
|
Patrice Rene'
Garneau, ONT, WR, 6-0, 162, 8th Grade Overall MVP & Co-WR MVP
|
This 8th grader already possesses height that
makes him mismatch for smaller defensive backs. He also proved very athletic
running a 4.32 shuttle, and jumping 29-inches in the vertical which is
amazing for his age. Rene' has excellent body control and soft hands.
|
|
Eric Doviak
Bishop Kearney HS, NY, OL, 6-1, 273, OL MVP
& Strongest Man
|
Doviak already has excellent overall size and strength for
an interior offensive lineman. He benched 155-pounds 22 times. He used his
size and strength to keep defenders at bay. If he continues to work on his
lateral movement he will surely become a DI recruit.

|
Rashan Somerville-Henry
St. Peter HS, NY, RB, 6-0, 208,
RB MVP
|
Wow! Another huge 9th grader that not only
possesses excellent size but has superb athleticism. He ran a 4.89 40, 4.57
shuttle, and had a 26.5-inch vertical. His size and hands were too much for
the linebackers to handle in the one-on-ones.
|
|
Darryl Jean-Baptiste
Pierre-Savard HS, ONT, DL, 5-9-1/2,
215, Co-DL MVP
|
Jean-Baptiste has the build of an inside linebacker and his
athleticism and use of hands was too much for the less athletic offensive
lineman to handle. He demonstrated excellent explosion with a 26.5-inch
vertical.
|
|
Brandon Mynter
Avon Central, NY, S, 5-7, 149, Leadership
Award
|
Every camp has that one guy that just motivates others
with his effort on the field of play. The two-on-twos were very spirited and
competitive thanks to Mynter. We need more football players with your
attitude!!!
|
|
Tyler Rehman
Sacred Heart HS, ONT, QB, 5-6, 114, QB MVP
|
He may not be the biggest signal caller but he
demonstrated the best overall mechanics on this day. He was able to hit open
receivers with regularity. And guess what he is only a 7th grader,
so he has time to grow and get stronger.
|
|
Marco Trunzo
St. Pius X, ONT, WR, 6-2, 160, Fastest Man
|
The athletes North of the border took home most of the
awards including Fastest Man. Trunzo ran a4.71 40 and a 4.25 shuttle. His
size and speed made him a deep threat on this day.
|
|
Keith Purhcase
Louis-Riel Secondary, ONT, CB, 5-9, 172,
DB MVP
|
Purchase already has excellent size for the cornerback
position. His size and physicality at the line of scrimmage made it hard for
receivers to get off the line of scrimmage. He also possesses above average
ball skills for a defensive back.
