Blair Academy (NJ) athlete Jihaad Pretlow picked up his first offer from Buffalo recently and followed that up with an offer from Miami Ohio. His recruitment seems to be picking up some steam. Pretlow led his Blair team to a 7-1 record last season. Pretlow is a very versatile athlete for his Blair squad; Blair utilizes his abilities at multiple positions. When the ball is in his hands, he is a dynamic player. Pretlow has a remarkable ability to cut on a dime and make people miss. |

What is your favorite song? All I do is win she by DJ Khaled What is your favorite movie of all time? That's a three way tie between life, lion king and Friday night lights. I just can't pick What made you choose Blair for High School? The academics and athletics they hold both of them to a high level and I was looking for both of those aspects to be high. So that I know no matter what ill be set for life How are the offseason workouts going? Pretty good, we are working heavy on speed, foot speed, reaction. All of this work is to get ahead of the next man. What are your goals next year as a player and a team? My goal as a player is to break the scoring rushing and single td records. As a team we are hoping to go undefeated and win the state championship How did it feel to be Dion Lewis' and Dillion Romain's successor? It was a lot of pressure but this is pressure I had all my life from being a Rutgers star son, Ray Graham's and Khaseem Greene's little cousin. It's just something I accept and make things happen You are a versatile player, which position is your favorite to play? Hmm I want to say corner. That position brings the swag to the game. Corners are the players that when they do something, the crowd goes crazy and you never forget You just picked up offer from Buffalo, how's the recruiting process going? It's going well. Miami of Ohio also offered so things are moving smoothly Like you said your dad was a great player at Rutgers (Malik Jackson) and your cousins are Ray Graham and Khas Greene, have they given you advice on the recruiting process? Yes they have told me to be patient let it come to you and always be a good kid and let what you do on the field handle its self What position are you being recruited at? Every where. It's hard to put me in a category, some schools offense and other defense Which teams are showing the most interest at this point that have not offered? Temple, Rutgers, Maryland, Pitt, JMU, and Penn ST Have any of those teams told you they are close to offering? I think Temple is close, so is Maryland. But RU will be I think after camp this Friday if I perform well. What are some of the things you like about Buffalo? The academics are top notch close to the Ivy League. I like the fact that the coaching staff are great guys and they are really looking forward to me coming in and making a mark early What are some of the things you like about Miami Ohio? Mainly the coaching staff. I have to look up more about the school but to be coached by an NFL player who has won a Super Bowl is every players dream Besides the Rutgers' Friday Knight Skills camp this Friday, are there any other camps you plan on going to? Yup Maryland, Temple, Uconn, and West Virginia Do you have a timetable for a decision? No not really |
