Smyrna (DE)- West Potomac HS (VA) wide receiver Demornay Pierson-El had impressive performance during the day two portion of the combine. Pierson-El won the Overall MVP award for the class of 2014 group. The 5-8 and 166 pound receiver dominated every portion of the competition. Pierson-El was double teamed and still dominated. He caught everything that came his way. Pierson-El displayed great route running skill and ball skills. Pierson-El had the ability to make spectacular catches. Even throws that were made to his wrong shoulder, he could make the catch. His vertical jump is good but he caught every jump ball. Pierson-El ran precise routes to separate from the defensive back. When running his routes, Pierson-El was quick in and out of his breaks. With the ball in his hands he was dynamic.. During the 7-on-7 portion of the day, Pierson-El led his team to a 7-on-7 championship. Pierson-El is a great competitor and he gives it his all on every play. Pierson-El is just starting to emerge in the recruiting scene. He will attend camps this summer with his teammate Caleb Henderson. |
