LONE STAR'S SHINE IN WEEK ONE No state produces more Division I football players per year than Texas. The Lone Star State has produced 369 DI players this past year. And no company has more high school football players come through their camps than the National Underclassmen Combine. Over the last three seasons well over 3,000 high school players have gone through NUC camps held in Texas. Below are just some of the former NUC stars that shined during Week One. Dru Smith of Sherman, TX wins the NUC Lone Star Player of the Week for the second consecutive week. He threw for over 362 yards and four touchdowns in 49 to 44 win over Sulphur Springs, TX.
