WEEK 7

NUC High School Rankings

Week 7

Three up and three down this week as Allen, TX; Bolingbrook, IL; and Olive Branch, MS all lost. The Eagles fell in overtime to Coppell, TX 27 to 24. Bolingbrook lost star quarterback Aaron Bailey on their second offensive play and seemed lost without him. They fell 42 to 19 to Lincoln-Way East, IL. The Conquistadors had their 20 game win streak snapped by arch nemesis South Panola, MS 28 to 14.

Moving up into the poll at #20 are the Coppell Cowboys who knocked off Allen, TX in overtime 27 to 24.

The Tucker Tigers are riding a 20-game win streak and are now ranked #24. The Tigers have not lost since December 3, 2010 and that was only 20 to 19 to Starr's Mill, GA. Coach Michael Jinks of Steele, TX and his Knights find themselves entering the NUC High School Top25 for the first time.

There are four huge matchups that could affect the state playoffs and turn the NUC High School Top25 upside down. Two of these matchups are in the Peach State. #13 Camden County takes on a (4-1) Coffee Trojans team set on winning GHSA AAAAAA Region 1. #22 Lassiter who struggled versus Woodstock, GA last week takes on a Walton, GA team that is set on winning a state title.  In the Volunteer State #17 Ensworth, TN hosts parochial power Montgomery Bell Academy, TX.  The #23 Tigers of Bentonville, AR travel to take on an unbeaten Rogers, AR (5-0) team.
