NUC HITS THE ROAD
Alpharetta vs. Chattahoochee
When: October 19, 2012, 7:30 p.m.
Where: The Arena, Johns Creek, Georgia
Last Season Records: Alpharetta (9-2) Chattahoochee (10-2)
Last Meeting: 10/26/2007 Chattahoochee 24 Alpharetta 14
Alpharetta Raiders (3-3/2-1) AAAAAA Region 6
Coach: Jason Dukes
Notes: Last year was Coach Dukes' best season as Head Coach of the Raiders finishing (9-2) with the best record in school history. Since taking over the helm of Alpharetta Football in 2009 he has compiled a (22-17) record. The Raiders may be off to slow start but they have played one of the toughest schedules in the state. They have lost to #5 West Forsyth, #9 Lovejoy, and Milton. Those teams are a combined (17-2) in Georgia's largest classification. Their high powered offense is averaging 34.7 points a game led by senior signal caller Joshua Dobbs. This game will go a long ways towards deciding the playoff picture in AAAAAA Region 6.
Players to Watch: Carlos Burse, WR, 6-2/190 (Vanderbilt commit); Joshua Dobbs*, QB, 6-2/185 (Arizona State Commit); Naim Mustafaa, DL, 6-4/230 (Georgia Commit).
Others to Watch: Blake Rowlinson*, WR, 6-2/185 (Troy Commit); DeAndre Wise, OL, 6-2/285 (2 plus offers).
Notable Alumni: Michael Bennett*, So., WR, Georgia (Was leading receiver thru first 5 games); Brandon Terry, So., WR, Wake Forest (Third leading WR on team).
Chattahoochee Cougars (4-2/2-1) AAAAAA Region 6
Coach: Terry Crowder
Notes: Coach Crowder has been at the helm of Chattahoochee football since 2004. In that time he has compiled a (57-38) record. But no season was more magical than 2010 as he led the Cougars to the Class AAAAA State Title and a perfect (15-0) season. The Cougars are averaging 29.7 points per game while defense is only rendering 15.5 points per contest. Chattahoochee has a host of underclassmen that will be playing college football one day. The winner of this game will definitely have a leg up on the Region playoff picture.
Players to Watch: CJ Leggett, RB, 5-10/205 (One offer) (2014); Travis Marshall, QB, 6-4/190 (Navy Commit).
Others to watch: Colin Lisa*, WR, 5-9/180 (2014); Chase Nelson, RB, 5-10/215 (2014).
Notable Alumni: Clint Boling, OL, Cincinnati Bengals (Staring OG); Charlie Whitehurst, QB, San Diego Chargers (7-Year NFL Veteran).
