Evaluating young high school talent in a camp setting is not an exact science. Numbers are important but heart, toughness, determination, and football skills are just as important as running a good 40-yard dash. I have taken a look back at the 2007 NUC season and picked out some players that excelled at our camps and are now excelling at the next level. Each player listed below has their height and weight as taken when they attended our camps in 2007. Also included are the five testing numbers that we checked at each camp. They are the vertical jump, broad jump, 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle run, and bench press. We have listed what grade the participant was in or just finished in 2007. The location of the event is also listed below. Below each set of testing numbers are the college they attend and what they have done to date at their respective school. Hopefully you will have fun with this three part series. Several players that were at NUC Camps in 2008 were that went onto be DI star were also at the 2007 NUC Camps. Those players are not included in this article. Good luck the rest of the season and for those athletes that are not seniors in high school we hope to see you at one of our events in 2013!
