LONE STAR'S SHINE IN WEEK 7

No state produces more Division I football players per year than Texas. The Lone Star State has produced 369 DI players this past year. And no company has more high school football players come through their camps than the National Underclassmen Combine. Over the last three seasons well over 3,000 high school players have gone through NUC camps held in Texas. Below are just some of the former NUC stars that shined during Week Zero.

Dru Smith has one of the hottest hands in the land when it comes to signal callers. For that he is again the NUC Lone Star Player of the Week. Smith completed 20 of 22 passes for 377 yards and five scores in Sherman's 56 to 28 win over Royse City, TX. I also want to give a shout out to Shane McCarley of Manvel, TX who threw seven touchdown passes in one half in 70 to 3 rout of Pasadena,, TX.

If any NUC alum from Texas that projects as a DI recruit wants to contact the NUC about their weekly stats and game result you can contact Barry Every on Twitter @NUCBarry. Good luck to every former NUC player from the Lone Star State in Week Five!
