Below is a list of the top performers in New Jersey so far.

 
Sonny Abramson, QB, Pope John XXIII, 6-2 and 190 pounds, Class 2016

Abramson is just a freshmen but that hasn't deterred him from having a great year. At such a young age, it is very impressive what he is accomplishing. For the first part of the season, Abramson has passed for 1,210 yards with 13 touchdowns and only 7 interceptions. Abramson already has the size of a high school senior.

Saeed Blacknall, WR, Manalapan, 6-3 and 210 pounds Class of 2014

Blacknall is a big receiver who is very fluid in his routes. Everything is smooth and he has excellent hands.   Blacknall has 356 yards receiving on 18 receptions with 8 total touchdowns. Blacknall seems to make a big play every time he touches the ball.

Noah Brown, WR, RB, DB, Pope John XXIII, 6-2 and 210 pounds, Class 2014

Brown is the focal point of his team's offense. He is a versatile player that can play either receiver or running back. Brown has 61 carries for 547 yards with 6 rushing touchdowns. Brown also has 24 receptions for 412 yards with 3 receiving touchdowns. Brown is a major weapon with the ball in his hands.

Corey Clement, RB, Glassboro, 5-11 and 210 pounds, Class 2013

Through five games Clement already has over 1,000 yards rushing, accumulating 1242 yards on 94 carries. That is an average of 13 yards per carry. In the open field Clement is truly spectacular. Clement broke numerous South Jersey rushing records this season.

Garrett Dickerson, DE, TE, Bergen Catholic, 6-4 and 245 pounds, Class 2014

Dickerson is an impact player on both sides on the ball. As a tight end, he has 13 receptions for 199 yards receiving. On defense, Dickerson has 28 tackles and 3 sacks. Dickerson has played well in the big games, especially against Bishop Gorman. In the game he was a disruptive force on the defensive side and on offense he made a huge 47 yard catch and run.

Dajaun Drennon, TE, DE, Timber Creek, 6-4 and 245 pounds, Class 2013

Drennon has been sensational for his Timber Creek squad. Drennon has honed his craft at defensive end since last season. His team might not have as good of a record as last year, but Drennon has really stepped up his game.

Jon Germano, QB, Bergen Catholic, 5-11 and 180 pounds, Class 2013

Germano does not have the ideal height for the Quarterback position but that has not stopped him from having a terrific season. The Crusader's QB has thrown for almost 2,000 yards this season with 1,822 yards passing. Even without his top target John Tsimis, who was injured last spring, Germano is putting up impressive numbers by spreading the ball around to different receivers. Germano has a 67 percent completion percentage.  Germano has a great TD-INT ratio at 20 touchdowns to 7 interceptions.

Reggie Green, QB, Cranford, 6-3 and 215 pounds, Class 2014

The Cranford QB is a dangerous dual threat. Green is completing 61 percent of his passes. After six games, Green has 971 yards rushing and 12 total touchdowns. Green recently committed to the University of Pittsburgh. Pitt is looking to use Green at the wide receiver position.

Jonathan Hilliman, RB, LB, St. Peter's Prep, 6 feet and 210 pounds, Class 2014

Hilliman is averaging 131 yards per game through the first half of the season. This year Hilliman is playing on both sides of the ball at running back and linebacker. Hilliman has 58 carries for 659 yards with 8 touchdowns. That is an average of almost 12 yards per carry. In a game against Memorial (NJ) this season, Hilliman had 3 carries for 204 yards. Hilliman can make dazzling runs seem easy. Hilliman has the burst to take any run for a touchdown.

Wesley Hills, RB, OLB, Wildwood, 6-3 and 220 pounds, Class of 2013

Hills is a big back who has great speed. He is very difficult to bring down and he is able to break a touchdown on any play. Hills is averaging 256 yards per game. Hills has 143 carries for 1536 yards through six games. Hills has amassed 25 total touchdowns this season.

Jimmy Hogan, DE, Ramapo, 6-5 and 220 pounds, Class 2014

Hogan has been a force on the defensive side of the ball. Hogan has been living in the backfield and disrupting plays. Hogan has 4.5 sacks on the season so far.

Hunter Knighton, DT, OL, Hun, 6-5 and 270 pounds, Class 2013

In Knighton's last game he had 5 sacks. Knighton can be a force on the offensive and defensive line. He is very athletic for his size.

J.J Kulcsar, WR, Bergen Catholic, 6-2 and 180 pounds, Class 2013 

At 6-2 and 180 pounds, Kulcsar is a big target for his quarterback Jon Germano. Kulcsar has 29 receptions for 612 yards. Kulcsar has had to replace John Tsimis as the go to receiver and he has stepped up to the plate. Kulcsar came up big in the Bishop Gorman game with 7 catches for 118 yards and 2 touchdowns. With 7 touchdowns, Kulcsar is a big scoring threat for the Crusaders.

Ray Lawry, RB, Kingsway, 5-11 and 185 pounds, Class 2014

Lawry has had a breakout season. Through five games, Lawry has 1,000 yards on 83 carries. Lawry has broken some outstanding runs. Lawry is very explosive in the open field and he makes people miss with great lateral cuts.

Dorian Miller, OL, DL, Metuchen, 6-4 and 295 pounds, Class 2013

Miller is being recruited as an offensive lineman but Miller has been doing his damage on the defensive side of the ball. Miller is bigger and stronger than most of the offensive lineman he faces. Miller splits double teams constantly and still makes the tackle. Miller has five sacks on the season.

Michael Million, RB, LB, Montclair, 5-8 and 175 pounds, Class 2013

Replacing Khalif Herbin's production was tough task for Montclair before the season started. Million so far is doing a great job in replacing some of his production. The Montclair running back has rushed for 1,029 yards on 94 carries. He has rushed for 11 touchdowns so far this season.

 
 
Al-Quadin Muhammad, DE, Don Bosco, 6-4 and 225 pounds, Class 2013

Muhammad had a huge game on national television against St. Thomas Aquinas. He recorded 2 sacks and was a force in the backfield. Through six games Muhammad has recorded 8.5 sacks. Muhammad is playing like the best defensive player in the state, and his potential matches his productivity.

Quenton Nelson, OL, DL, Red Bank Catholic, 6-5 and 295 pounds, Class 2014

Nelson has led his Red Bank Catholic squad to a 6-0 start to the season. Nelson has size and athleticism you can't teach. Nelson is able to dominate on the offensive line and pave the way for his running backs. Nelson fires off the ball and uses great leverage.

Gerald Owens, RB, DE, West Deptford, 6-3 and 235 pounds, Class 2014

Owens is the definition of a workhorse running back. Owens has 92 carries for 720 yards with 12 rushing touchdowns. Averaging 144 yards a game, Owens is a big back who is difficult to bring down.

Nick Palladino, QB, Allentown, 6-1 and 190 pounds, Class 2013

Palladino has led his Allentown squad to a 6-0 record so far. The Redbirds quarterback has thrown 15 touchdown passes with only 4 interceptions. With a 60 percent completion rate, Palladino throws with great accuracy. Palladino passed for 1026 yards through the first six games.

Jabrill Peppers, RB, S, Paramus Catholic, 6-1 and 195 pounds, Class 2014

Peppers is a tremendous athlete and he can play any skill position. PC uses Peppers in a multitude of ways to take advantage of his skill set. Peppers has 43 carries for 383 yards for the first part of the season. With 9 total touchdowns, Peppers can score on any play. On defense, Peppers has two interceptions. In his last game against St. Joe's, Peppers played the Wildcat role and rushed for 368 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Devin Ray, QB, Bernards, 6-3 and 200 pounds, Class 2013

Ray is having a terrific season so far. He has an amazing 13 touchdowns to just one interception. At 6-3, Ray has the height to see over the defensive line and throw the ball accurately displayed by his 61 percent completion rate. Not only is Ray accurate but he has thrown for over 1,000 yards.

TJ Taylor, WR, DB, South Brunswick, 6-3 and 190 pounds, Class 2013

Taylor plays on both sides of the ball. Through 7 games Taylor has 402 yards receiving with 9 touchdowns. On defense Taylor has 35 tackles from the secondary with 4 interceptions.

Andrew Trumbetti, DE, TE, OL, Northern Valley Regional, Class 2014

Trumbetti plays on both sides of the ball. He had to switch over to offensive line because of injuries to his teammates. Trumbetti is a team player and it displays his versatility.

Eli Woodard, CB, Eastern, 6-0 and 185 pounds, Class 2013

The Ohio State commit has been a lockdown corner for his Eastern squad. Teams are terrified to throw to his side of the field. Woodard possesses all the tools to be a great corner at the next level.
