NUC High School Rankings Week 11
There are two new teams in the NUC HS Top25. St. Edward, OH makes its first appearance of the year fresh off their huge win over St. Ignatius, OH. Bishop Gorman reappears in the Top25 after completing league play undefeated for the sixth year in a row. Both teams are ranked #24 and #25 respectively. We have two major heavyweight bouts this week. #3 Goose Creek, SC (10-0) host Stratford, SC (9-1). A win by the Gators will surely give them the #1 seed in the SCHSL AAAA D2 playoffs. In the Peach State #10 Camden County, GA travels to Valdosta to take on an unbeaten Lowndes (GA) Vikings team. The winner of this game will clinch an AAAAAA Region 1 Championship. There are two NUC High School Players of the Week. Desoto, TX signal caller Desmon White completed 16 of 23 passes for 289 yards and six touchdowns while also rushing for over 100 yards and a score. His effort allowed the Eagles to beat Duncanville, TX 60 to 27 and remain unbeaten. In the Keystone State Mack Leftwich of North Allegheny, PA completed 12 of 16 passes for 241 yards and five touchdowns while also rushing for a score in 42 to 0 win over North Hills, PA. But most astonishing is the fact that he threw all five touchdown passes in the second quarter.
