Greensboro, NC 10th Grade NUC Schuman's Outstanding Performance List |
Trevor Phillips Fuquay-Varina HS, NC, DL, 6-0, 226, Overall MVP |
Phillips is that hybrid DE/LB that makes a great pass rushing specialist. He was quick off the ball and very physical at the point of attack. He ran a 4.87 40, 4.66 shuttle, and benched 185-pounds 15 times. |
Avery Edwards Ravenscroft, NC, TE, 6-4-1/2, 216, TE MVP |
Edwards has ideal excellent size for a sophomore tight end. His size and hands alone make him a legit DI prospect. He ran a sold 4.92 40, 4.48 shuttle, and showed serious hops with a 29-inch vertical. This target is hard to miss. |
Justin Wilson Western Alamance HS, NC, CB, 5-6-1/2, 150, DB MVP. |
What Wilson lacks in size he makes up for with pure athleticism. He has hips on a swivel and soft hands for a defensive back. He also ran a 4.67 40, 4.47 shuttle, while jumping 34-inches in the vertical testing. But his 9-9 BJ is what really stands out to me. |
Malcolm Hitchcock Leesville Road HS, NC, WR, 5-9-1/2, 176m WR MVP |
There is one heck of a tandem of athletes at Leesville Road High School. Hitchcock ran a 4.71 40, 4.56 shuttle, and leaped 30.5-inches in the vertical. He also had a 9-5 BJ and benched 155-pounds 17 times. Quick as a cat in space, with the body control to make the tough catch look easy. |
Grayson Cobb West Stokes HS, NC, QB, 6-2-1/2, 227, QB MVP |
Cobb stands out in a crowd because he already possesses the ideal size for a pro-style quarterback. He stands tall in the pocket and is able to hit his targets with regularity. |
Calvin Edwards East Rowan HS, NC, RB, 5-9, 167, RB MVP |
Edwards possesses nice acceleration and change of direction with above average hands. He also put up solid testing numbers across the board with a 4.65 40, 4.56 shuttle, and 32-inch vertical. He also has some pop benching 155-pounds 18 times. |
Damien Dozier, Ravenscroft, NC, LB, 6-1, 201, LB MVP |
Dozier already possesses good size for a young linebacker. He was physical with running backs, and he showed hustle. He also has a little explosion with a 27-inch vertical. |
Petey Johnson Asheboro HS, NC, OL, 6-0, 319, OL MVP |
Johnson already possesses the girth and strength to keep defensive lineman from bull rushing. If he continues to improve he will make an excellent interior offensive lineman prospect at the DI level. |
Reginald Johnson Holly Springs HS, NC, DL, 5-10, 264, DL MVP |
This true nose tackle was really tough on offensive lineman with his pad level. He is also very athletic for his size having run a 5.24 40 and jump 23-inches in the vertical testing. He is like trying to stop a huge boulder from rolling down a hill. |
J'Myiah Vincent Southern Guilford HS, NC, ATH, 5-8, 171, Combine King |
Vincent put up sick numbers for a sophomore. He ran a 4.57 40, and a 4.15 shuttle. On top of that he had a 9-8 BJ and a 34-inch vertical. But it is not all about speed as he benched 155-pounds 17 times. That is truly a solid testing day no matter where you live! |
Brook Deatherage Western Alamance HS, NC, S, 5-11-1/2, 171, Fastest Man |
Two clocks timed him at a 4.43 40 which is amazing since we do not have inflated times at NUC camps. His other 40-yard dash was 4.48 so this kid is legit when it comes to speed. He also ran a 4.37 shuttle, and had a 31.5-inch vertical jump. |
Jacob Galloway Asheboro HS, NC, DL, 5-11, 214, Strongest Man |
This guy takes the weight room seriously. He benched 185-pounds 23 times. But he is also fairly athletic all the way around for a defensive lineman having run a 5.01 40 and jump 25.5-inches in the vertical testing. |
