The National Underclassman
Combine made a return trip to
the Garden State this past
weekend to hold two more
sessions, both of which produced
memorable performances. Leading
the way in the morning session
was sophomore DB William Marable
of Bayside High School in
Virginia, who took home the
Overall MVP and Fastest Man
Award. Marable, 6-foot-0 and
194-pounds, is a lock down
corner who was also great in
bump-and-run coverage. He also
showed off his impressive
athleticism during the combine
events with a 35-inch vertical,
8’11 ˝” broad, 4.55 shuttle, 19
reps at 150-pounds, and his
award winning 4.49 40.

The
Garden State represented itself
very well during the afternoon
session of this past weekend’s
National Underclassmen Combine.
This was best demonstrated by
Overall MVP sophomore WR Aaron
Hayward, 6-foot-0 and
185-pounds, of Penns Grove High
School. Hayward, already an
accomplished track star, took
his talents to the football
field and was spectacular during
1-on-1’s, ran amazing routes,
had great hands, and had an
overall memorable performance.
He also had a 4.55 40, 4.68
shuttle, 8’11” broad, and 22
reps at 150-pounds.
