| While the Long Island area
usually doesn’t receive the same
recruiting attention as some of
its neighboring areas, the
football talent continues to
improve. This was proven again
as the National Underclassmen
Combine recently made a stop in
Long Island. |

| Winning the Overall MVP was sophomore LB Peter Miller of Friends Academy in New York. Miller, 6-foot-2 ½ and 231-pounds, was dominant during 1-on-1’s. He finished with two interceptions, plus he used his size and power to knock five receivers to the ground. He also had a 29.5-inch vertical, 4.70 40, 4.54 shuttle, and 23 reps at 150-pounds. |

| Making his way from Ohio was Freshman MVP Carl Washington of Eastmoor Academy. Washington, 5-foot-7 ½ and 162-pounds, was fantastic during the positional drills and had a 29-inch vertical, 8’6 ½” broad, 4.74 40, 4.71 shuttle, and 21 reps at 135-pounds. |

| Though he didn’t win the MVP, deserving special mention was freshman dual-threat quarterback Alik Robinson of Hudson Catholic High School in New York. Robinson, 5-foot-11 and 155-pounds, had a 33.5-inch vertical, 8’11” broad, 4.66 40, and 12 reps at 135-pounds. |

| The OL MVP went to freshman Michael Lisi of H. Frank Casey High School in New York. Lisi, 6-foot-1 and 248-pounds, showed very good technique during the 1-on-1’s, especially for a freshman. During the combine events he had a 23.5-inch vertical, 5.03 40, 7’10 ½” broad, and 25 reps at 150-pounds. |

The freshman domination continued with Anthony Brunetti of Holy Trinity High School in New York, who won the RB MVP. Brunetti, 5-foot-8 and 195-pounds, was very good during both the 1-on-1’s and positional drills. He had 16 reps at 135-pounds, a 30-inch vertical, 4.80 40, and 4.40 shuttle. |

| Freshman Alex White of St. Anthony’s High School in Long Island took home the DL MVP. White, 6-foot-1 and 195-pounds, showed great footwork and speed during the 1-on-1’s. He had 22 reps at 150-pounds, a 27-inch vertical, 4.81 40, and 4.81 shuttle. |

| The final freshman to win an award in Long Island was Zenel Hudson of Bay Shore High School in New York. Hudson, who ran a 4.62 40, took home the Fastest Man Award. Besides his 40 time, Hudson, 5-foot-7 ½ and 165-pounds, was also impressive during the remaining combine events with a 31-inch vertical, 8’7 ½” broad, and 19 reps at 135-pounds. |

| Despite being outsized by
basically all of the
participants, the DB MVP went to
sophomore Alain Alisca of
Washingtonville High School in
New York. Alisca, only 5-foot-1
½ and 139-pounds, locked down
basically every receiver he
faced, plus he had a 27-inch
vertical, 4.79 40, 4.64 shuttle,
and 10 reps at 150-pounds. |

| Sophomore Travis Quarless of Holy Cross High School in New York took home the WR/TE MVP. Quarless, 5-foot-11 ½ and 207-pounds, was very impressive during both the positional drills and 1-on-1’s. He finished the combine events with a 4.81 shuttle, 4.84 40, and 26.5-inch vertical. |

| The final MVP of the Long Island
event went to sophomore Billy
Ray of St. John the Baptist High
School in New York. Ray,
6-foot-1 ½ and 234-pounds, did a
good job during passing drills
and showed impressive passing
technique. Pushing Ray for the
QB MVP was sophomore Bryan
Dengal of Smyrna High School in
Delaware. Dengal, 5-foot-11 ½
and 166-pounds, did a very good
job during passing drills and
had a 27.5-inch vertical, 4.91
40, 8’6” broad, 4.65 shuttle,
and had 17 reps at 150-pounds. |
